Itinerary
Día 1: Alt Empordà – Butterfly Park
Arrival at the hotel to check-in and enjoy the sun and the beaches of the town. At sunset we will go to the Butterfly Park for a walk of approximately an hour and a half (depending on the time of dedication of each person). Here you can get to know the life of butterflies up close, observing the four phases of their life cycle and learning about the great variety of species that exist. Some of the great curiosities that we can find in the park are the largest butterfly in the world, the Attacus Atlas; the largest pigeon in the world, the Goura Victoria, and the Muntjak, fabulous Asian deer, among many other animals. Free dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Día 2: Alt Empordà – Astranomic Parc
Breakfast at the hotel and free day to enjoy the sun, the beach or visit one of the wonderful towns of l'Empordà. At dusk, we will leave for Albanyà to go and make an informal dinner. We recommend stopping for a short tour of one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Catalonia: "Sant Llorenç de la Muga", a fortified village that today retains all its walled charm. Informal dinner in Albanyà: bread with tomato, cold cuts, cheese etc. Next, we are going to do a "astronomical-baptism night" and enjoy a unique sensory experience, where the projection of live images captured by the telescope will be combined with audio-visual content on astronomy. At the end, return to the hotel and accommodation (we recommend bringing a jacket/sweater as the summer night can be quite chilly).
Día 3: Alt Empordà – Sant Ferran Castle
Breakfast at the hotel and free day to enjoy the sun, the beach or visit one of the wonderful towns of l'Empordà. At sunset, we will go to Figueres to visit the Castle of Sant Ferran, which is considered the largest bastioned fortress in Europe and declared a Site of Cultural Interest, listed as a historical-artistic monument. Here we will enjoy a very special visit to the "Water’s Cathedral". It is an active visit in which a guided tour of the moat is carried out on 4x4 vehicles. The tour includes a visit to the underground countermine’s galleries and navigation on board inflatable boats (the activity is not indicated for people suffering from claustrophobia). Free dinner and return to the hotel for accommodation.
Day 4: Alt Empordà – Football Golf
Breakfast at the hotel and free day to enjoy the sun, the beach or visit one of the wonderful towns of l'Empordà. At dusk, we will go play Football-Golf in the town called Maçanet de Cabrenys, a sport activity suitable for the whole family: 18 different obstacles within a field and surrounded by the highest mountains in Alt Empordà, where you will have to overcome with strategy and the minimum number of ball touches possible on the course. You can dine in the same town and enjoy the wide range of restaurants it offers. Finally, hotel accommodation.
Day 5: Alt Empordà - Origin
Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Today, in the morning, we will go to l'Escala, where we will take a boat for a tour of the Mongrí Coast, observing its wonderful caves and coves, among others the Cova del Contraban, Punta Montgó - with its 16th century tower-, and Cala Farriol until you reach the natural tunnel of La Foradada. On the way back, we will make a stop to enjoy a swim in one of these coves from the same boat. The ship has stairs and a platform to access the sea. Return to l'Escala’s harbour and end of our services.
