Itinerary

Day 14/07/20: Origin – L’Escala – Dive

Arrival at l'Escala hotel at the agreed time for check-in. Afterwards, we will go to Cala Mateua for lunch (not included in the price). Here we will get ready for today’s activity, which is a dive for beginners or for people who have some knowledge (if any of the companions do not want to do the dive they can go with the boat and snorkel instead). This activity can last +/- 3 hours and you are always supported by expert instructors. At the end, free afternoon to enjoy the fishing village of l’Escala. Hotel accommodation.

Day 15/07/20: Trekking – L’Escala búnkers

Technical hike information: 11,0 KM – Slopes +450/-450 – 5h00’

Today, we will start the route from Cala Illa Mateua, bordering the coast, passing through Punta Gorda, Cala Montgó and enjoying part of the Montgrí Natural Park. It is a route with an incredible historical load, where we can enter the battery of bunkers built during World War II. Also, remains of pirates, feudal lords, Romans, smugglers and hiding places with 2,000 years of history will surround you all the way. We will eat in the same cove of Illa Mateua (not included in the price). In the afternoon, you can either enjoy some free time or you have the option of doing an optional activity (€20) to visit the process of making the oil with a stone mill, which is the only mill that still produces with this system. We will make an explanatory visit accessing the work area. Once the visit is over, we will go to the room where a video is played, and we will do an oil tasting with coca bread baked with firewood, olives and chocolate. This is a time to be able to chill in the room and extend it for as long as you want, asking questions and enjoying the tasting. Free dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

Day 16/07/20: Kayak experience

Breakfast at the hotel and, at the agreed time at the meeting point, we will begin a guided sea kayak excursion through one of the most captivating places on the Empordà coastline. An activity that is very respectful with the environment in order to preserve these natural spaces. With us, you will find quality service to make your kayak trip a real privilege. Lunch and free afternoon to enjoy the fishing village of l'Escala or take a walk through the hidden villages of Empordà, which are a gorgeous. Finally, hotel accommodation.

Día 17/07/20: L’Escala

Breakfast at the hotel and free morning to enjoy the sun and the beach offered by the beautiful town of l'Escala. Lunch and, in the afternoon, we can take an electric bicycle excursion along one of the incredible routes that l’Empordà offers us. The tour can be chosen depending on whether you want a quiet route, if you want it to be self-guided, if you want to include nature, culture, etc. You do not have to worry about its duration as you can bike at your own pace. However, it has been calculated to last between (approximately) 2-3 hours. Once finished, free dinner and return to accomodate at the hotel.

Day 18/07/20: Wine tourism afternoon

Breakfast at the hotel and free morning to enjoy the sun and the beaches that the beautiful town of l'Escala offers us. Lunch. Next, we will take a tour of some of the wineries included in the Empordà CO. The visits are guided and offer us a sample. Finally, before returning to the hotel, we will make a snack/dinner at one of the wineries that we visit. Hotel accommodation.

Día 19/07/20: Trekking Parc Natural Montgrí

Technical hike information: 12,00 km – Slopes +700/-700 – 5h30’

After breakfast, check out at the hotel to be in Torroella de Montgrí at the indicated time and start the day trekking through the most beautiful and magical places in of Montgrí Natural Park, walking through the different Neanderthal burrows (Cau del Duc, Cau de l'Olivar, Cau d'en Calvet) and hidden cracks, by the Montgrí Castle and the Hermitage of Sta. Caterina, explaining all the history and anecdotes of these different places. We will return to Torroella, where we will finish the route and our services.
